Hi! I found out today that I have influenza A, one of the strains resistant to my flu shot (bummer). The physician I saw today is pregnant and just got over it and said it doesn't harm the fetus, yay! She also said they are seeing patients that got the flu shot recover in about 6 days, but those who didn't have had it over two weeks, so I'm still happy I got the shot.
On the positive side, she had her Doppler machine handy so asked if I wanted to hear the baby; of course I said "yes". She chased it around a little bit and asked if I have felt any flutters yet. I said "not that I know of, usually my stomach growling or gas". She said my baby is moving around A LOT and that might be causing some of my upset stomach. And she finally found the heartbeat. I am so happy to hear I have an active baby :).
