-Brotherly/sisterly love
Nima loves the kids, but she especially loves Rory since he's the baby.
Grammy visited!!
Taya finished off Grammy's Starbucks (chai tea latte).
The girls on Mother's Day. The yellow wasn't exactly planned...like grammy, like mommy, like daughter! Ethan got Grammy and me the corsages to wear to church. They were beautiful.
Ethan and I don't have very many pictures of "just us" anymore. We celebrated 6 years of marriage on May 27. Of course, someone had their eyes closed...
Unfortunately Rory fell asleep on the way home from church so he wasn't in any of the Mother's Day pictures.
Yes, it seems he's always "stuck" in that thing...he likes it though, I promise!
Another shot of Ethan grinding the tree...I am considering this post an extension of the last one...we already have new grass growing where the stump used to be. Ethan makes sure we have a great lawn and it does look great!
Goodness, May passed us by like a whirlwind and here it is almost the first full week of June. We have been looking forward to a trip to Nebraska for several months and it's finally here...we leave June 8 and will be gone 'til the 14th. Ethan has an annual conference in Colorado so we're flying into Denver, meeting Grammy (who's flying in from Connecticut) and my Auntie Jen is picking us up from the airport to take us to Ogallala. Ethan will join us there on Sunday where we'll host some good friends from college, the Banks's and the Dodge's, at my mom's. I'm also going to Mullen on the 11th for my *gasp* TEN year class reunion. I'm looking forward to seeing my family and friends from both high school and college on this trip. Most of the family will be meeting Rory for the first time; I'm excited to show off my Mr. Blue-eyes and show everyone how big Taya has gotten.
May was fun because Grammy visited for the first time in 4 months. I think that's about the longest we've gone without seeing her so we really enjoyed her visit. It also happened to be over Mother's Day weekend so that was special. Ethan has been busy in the yard, including planting almost 200 flowers (I need to get pictures of those). You will also see in my next post that we have been to the zoo a few times and got a new back yard pool and slip 'n' slide.
I am also working full-time again. I have been searching full-time positions but was reluctant to leave my dialysis clinic because I love the staff, my patients, and the flexible schedule. I have been praying about it and there were 2 clinics needing a part-time dietitian within the company. Unfortuantely I am driving 2 days a week to Mansfield, which is 70 miles north of here, but they are also very flexible, I got the keep my clinic, and I am getting full-time benefits. I miss the kids terribly but they are really enjoying school and all of the activities and friends there; this works for us now. I am blessed with the flexibility of my clinics so I can take off whenever I need to if the kids need me.
Anyhoo, that sums up our May. I have one more post to work on today, then I will actually be caught up (probably just to fall behind again!).
