Week of May 11th

Happy Spring!
The weather has been gorgeous this past week; Ethan and I bought some flowers last weekend and started planting. We put new heather bushes in the front of our house and planted Vinca in our front flower bed. The peonies on the south side of our house are about to bloom! In the back I planted some urns for our deck and we bought a hydrangea for our back bed. We also planted two tomato plants and two hills of zucchini. That is all the garden we will have this summer. We thought we'd be busy enough ;).
We have also been trying to walk to work. I think three days a week is pretty good and it gives us some fresh air before work. It takes us about 20 minutes. After work we have been walking Nima also. I must say I am feeling pretty good, but hungry all the time!
My cousin Katie, her husband Shane, and dog Bella were in Omaha last weekend so I got to see them on Mother's day. We took more tummy pictures. We will see each other a few more times over the summer before we deliver in the fall. It is fun to see how much we grow each time.
Below are some recent pictures.

The other night, Nima was very cuddly. We snapped a few pictures before we headed to bed. 27 weeks, 2 days

Ethan, Nima, and me on my first Mother's day. I received a few cards and gifts from my husband and mom. It was so sweet of everyone to think of me.

A few pictures of Katie and me. I think we look pretty cute!

This is my relaxation technique; I'm practicing for labor but it's really hard to "pretend". I believe I fell asleep for a while.

Video test try

Hi! We are finally getting around to uploading a video of Nima. If this works, there may be more to come...if not, it was at least worth a try :).

We have had a busy few weeks. Ethan continues to finish up the kitchen and keep the lawn mowed (it has been growing really fast). He has also been picking up the basement which includes making storage shelves and sweeping.

I went to North Platte last weekend for a bridal shower. A pleasant coincidence was my cousin Britni had her second daughter the day before I got there. I got to meet and hold a two day old Hayley Mae. *Pictures of both events to come*

I finished both of my classes for the semester! Yay!! I plan to take my 12 hours of credit by examination this summer and am still planning to take one class in the fall. For now I am happy to have some time to read up on child-birth and parenting :).

Nima has been making sure I get my walks in most days of the week. I guess my current cravings are breakfast foods (muffins, cinnamon rolls, Cinnamon Crunch bagels from Panera, waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, you get the drift), almond M&Ms (that's a new one), and Ethan's grilled hamburgers.

We had a midwife appointment on Tuesday and I am growing right on target. I have also gained some weight and I think I'm growing a monster, tee hee. Our baby moves almost constantly; the only times I don't notice are when I'm really busy or when I'm sleeping.

Well, it is almost bedtime. I hope the video works. I will post some photos this week!
