Taya and Grammy

Grammy wanted to be here for Taya's birthday; why not, she was in the delivery room 3 years ago! They had a fun week together.

One of Taya's gifts was a 100 piece puzzle from Aunt Erin. I think Ethan did most of the work but Taya was very proud of the finished product!

Rory and Taya have a good time playing together. Also, another milestone for Mr. Rory is using a sippy cup. When Taya has one, he wants one.

Birthday weekend

I am so far behind on posts it isn't funny...I like to post everything in order but still haven't had time to put together our second Nebraska trip post and Ethan added the airshow out of order! Oh well...

Our little Miss Taya turned 3 years old last weekend. What a fun time we had! Grammy was here for a week to help celebrate, I took a few days off work during that week, and we had a party which Taya was so excited for. She also took cupcakes to school and had a small party with her school friends.

Rory continues to grow! He went from rolling all over the place to army crawling just in the past 2 weeks. In the past few days he has been able to sit himself up from a tummy position. He is also pushing himself up into a bear-crawl (off his knees onto his arms and feet). He is saying "da da" very clearly when he sees Ethan and says a very forceful "MA" for NiMA. He hasn't quite mastered "mama" for mom but that's ok. He was making a lot of noise in church today during all of the songs so I imagine he was singing along. He has a wonderful laugh and is a very happy boy. He especially loves playing with his sister and Nima.

The birthday girl received many gifts this year. This was just from close friends and family and she got even more at her party. She was SO excited! Thanks to all who sent her something.

Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the opened gifts...Taya started first thing in the morning and spaced out opening them through the day.

Taya turns 3!

Continuing from the previous post...Taya was very excited to have party hats but they didn't get passed out to the guests so she decided to play with them.

A little excitement, both bad and good

For our 6th anniversary, Grammy got Ethan and me Brad Paisley tickets. We have been pretty excited since they were great seats. It was also the day after Taya's birthday so Grammy was here to babysit too!

Unfortunately on the way to the concert we were involved in a car accident.

The Scion from 2 lanes over that side-swiped us (not his fault).

We caused quite the slow-down on northbound I-71...

Missed the other opening acts but we made it to our front-row seats in time for Blake Shelton!

Here we go, Brad Paisley!

A few shots of our injured minivan. We are currently driving a little red Nissan Versa. The gas mileage is nice but it's not nearly as comfortable as the Odyssey...I can't wait to get it back from the body shop.

We thank God for our safety and the fact that nobody was injured in the accident. It was a "hit and skip" so both the police and insurance had to track the lady down that caused the accident.
